Birth and Postpartum Doula Support

Birth Doula Services

My doula package includes two in-home consultations for you to help me understand how you would feel most supported and provide space to prepare for your birth with prenatal coaching, one-on-one childbirth education, and tips and tools to help you prepare your mind, body, and spirit for your birth and parenting journey. I’ll be available via phone, text, and email, anytime you have a question or just want to chat throughout your pregnancy and beyond into your fourth trimester. I am on-call for continuous labor support, whether that is four hours or forty-eight, from 37-42 weeks according to your guess date.

Once you let me know when your labor begins, I’ll provide continuous labor support throughout your birth and the first hour or two after your baby is born. After your birth, I’ll check in on you at home to see how you and your family are adjusting, offer resources and referrals as needed, and help you process and integrate your birth experience. You may also be interested in my additional time for prenatal coaching and childbirth preparation and maternity and newborn photography.

My birth support packages start at $2250

Postpartum Doula Services

Its easy to get so wrapped up in preparing for a baby’s birth day that one can lose sight of one’s birth as a parent and the beginning of a lifelong parenting journey!

Those first moments, days, and weeks of your baby’s life will have far-reaching influence on you, your baby, and your relationship with your partner. Unfortunately, our modern lifestyle is pretty harsh on new families, demanding that new parents get up, get going, and get back to doing all the things very soon after birth. Parents are often isolated and alone with little support or guidance, removed from extended family and friends to provide the practical support that allows the new parents to focus on what is most important during this precious window: recovering from birth and pregnancy, navigating the emotional transition of the postpartum period, and, of course, bonding and growing together with their baby. Parents benefit from in-home breastfeeding assistance, nonjudgemental emotional support, and evidence-based information about newborn care and infant development you can step into parenting with ease.

I offer nonjudgemental presence, practical support, and comfort measures, in addition to evidence-based information and encouragement so you feel good about your parenting decisions. If you’re up at night, I hope its because you’re with your baby, not up second guessing your parenting decisions. It is my goal to be there with resources and reassurance to bolster your confidence as you figure out what works best for you and your family.

Due to the variability of each family’s individual needs, it’s a good idea to come up with an individualized plan. I provide support during the day or overnight, and in very special circumstances, a combination of days and nights. I typically work with families for two or three days per week, and/or up to six nights, depending on the family’s needs and additional support resources. My services can be booked up to one year in advance. My availability is only guaranteed with advance booking, although I always do my best to accommodate clients whenever possible. Upon request, I am happy to offer referrals to other trusted providers whenever I am not available. Lets connect so that I can help you put together a plan for optimal support following the birth of your baby.
